The old addage beware of strangers bearing gifts, is a very true saying, About a week ago a neighbor lady gave me a coffee table as she was moving out and didnt want it, (I did not and still do not know her) today a deputy
shows up at my door, It wasnt hers to give away, apparently her and her boy friend split up, he left, so the deputy asks to see it, reluctantly i let him,
now i think i could be charged with recieving stolen property, WTF!!!!
Cant trust anyone, how was i supposed to know it wasnt hers.
Any Advice????

I told him that, but his attitude was par for the course where most civillian LEOs are concearned, Guilty untill proven innocent, i told him that if someone wanted it they could have it, he stated that disposing of stolen property is a crime too. Screwd if ya do screwed if ya dont.
This is what i sacraficed blood sweat and tears for whith my service, where did my nation go? Common sense
