I am just finishing a historical novel, part of which is set in Connecticut in 1637-1642. Is there anyone who is interested in being a beta reader, that is, read through the manuscript to look for any obvious errors, and to also give their opinion on the characters, story and so on? I would plan to send it over in bite-sized chunks, and we can discuss how to organise the response. TIA.

I know nothing of Connecticut to speak of, however I'd glad to read your book and give you a report if you can't find anyone else. I did one for someone here years ago, it was an Amazon e-book if IIRC correctly. Guy flies into the back country of Alaska and take a pressure canner. Was a good story.

I bought several books by Ann Christy (ChristyACB) who has posted here and one by TxAnne who also posted here.

I did some others also.

You can PM if you want.
