For those of you that have a ****'s Sporting Goods near you, they are having a pretty good sale on certain kinds of ammo.

For example, Remington UMC 9MM (115 Gr.) is $7.98/50 rds. when you buy a case.

Without getting into whether or not it is the best type for stockpiling, either way, it makes for some pretty cheap shootin'. :D:

Just thought I would pass it along.

np.

I didn't go in there to buy ammo, but just sort of stumbled on to the sale sign.

Then the best part ... the ditzy checkout clerk ... er, um, I mean the "highly-trained outdoor merchandise specialist/ sales representative" couldn't ring up "a case" so she charged me for 8-50 rd. boxes. ... that came to $63.84 +tax for 500 rds.

Gotta love that new math :D:

I have been told that Cheaper Than Dirt and Cabela's have low priced ammo. I have also been told that it has a tendency to not fire and jam in some guns. Does anyone have any first hand knowledge of this?
Thanks for whatever you have on it.

As a canadian, its' too bad i can't buy weaps or ammo from the states. Places like CTD and Cabella's are far cheaper than local. :(

However, there is a gun show coming to Salmon Arm this saturday, and i hope to find some good deals there. I'm still looking for a good 12g, deer rifle, and 9mm. If the prices are good, i might walk away with a stockpile! ;)

peace
