Looking to stock up on ammo for my AK. I'm trying to find the best price/amount ammo. I reckon the AK will take any cheap ammo I throw at it.

Monarch and cheap 20/box ammo at most stores is a tad over $5 ($.25 per round)

Midway USA's 1000 round bulk ammo sale of Wolf Military classic is $220 or so ($.22 per round)

Cabelas is selling 640 round tins of Wolf ammo for $134 ($.20 per round) http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/t...&parentType=index&indexId=cat20839&hasJS=true

Are there better deals out there?

yes alot better deals usaully about $179 per 1000 for wolf or golden tiger(much better) check out ammoman.com or thearmory or ammo connection or do a google search for 7.62x39 usaualy ends up at about $210 shipped per 1000

Wolf and Golden Tiger 199 per 1000 shipping included. .19¢ a round.
Cabelas deal on wolf is OK until they hit you with shipping. I think last I looked it brought the tins of X39 to .22¢ round.
That still ain't bad for tinned ammo.
