****ing man up and carry a gun. This mouse gun BS is for the ladies. I carry a g17 daily and NO ONE has ever been the wiser. I carry it in my boxer shorts and tee shirt in the evening, playing with my kids and wife, they have NEVER noticed.

This crap of "oh its to big" is plain silly. Carry the gun you want in the gun fight not a paper weight pee shooter.

Where'd that come from?

I just wanted a gun that would fit nicely in my pocket. The Kahr PM40 and Rohrbaugh R9S fit the bill nicely. I also have other larger guns, but they don't fit my pocket so well...

I love my 1911, and my M9 and My smith 620.. list goes on. and on

But, my Kahr PM9 fits right in my pocket and is not detectable, and neither is my NNA 22 mag. but, my Gock 27 is about right.. hey, im 5'4 and 170 lbs, (not so big) ive carried the 1911 but, its kinda hard to hide, and not comfy to shove in my 32 inch waist.. The mighty mouse you have in your pocket beats the desert eagle you have in the nighstand back home.

each to his own.

See the above posts ...

I have NEVER heard someone say "Man I wish I brought my (fill in the name of mouse gun)". I HAVE heard twice, "Man I wish I had brought my (fill in the name of fighting gun (Glock/Sig))." My point is carry a fighting gun. IF you were to get into a gun fight, why, would anyone, want a .22? We CCW daily because we believe the time WILL come for its use. We hope we dont every have to, but arm ourselfs that it will.

To carry a mouse gun is better then nothing. In a non-premissive environment is nice to have SOMETHING in your pocket, but for daily carry I would never understand why you wouldnt want a fighting gun.

I have heard it put: I'd rather be comfortably armed that armed comfortably. Always looked at the mouseguns as a second or back up gun.
Though If you needed to be armed in a situation where concealing clothing may attract attention , such as poolside or on the beach. Then appropriate to the environment dress and the mousegun is the way to go. I would still have my primary somewhere close by though.

SIG 229 .40 S&W

YUMMY! The only reason the 226 hasnt replaced the 92fs is because of the cost.... But its comming.
THe 229 has a shorter barrel, fires like a dream (When ya don't buy the cheapest ammo possible. I, out of 1200 or so rounds have only had 1 stoppage not due to a missfire. ) And they look sexy as hell.... You can even get a 22 lr conversion kit to save on cash and still have a good time.

I find being able to conceal a full sized pistol difficult with my body style (think very thin cyclist or runner) and clothing style. My clothing style usually consists of clothes that *fit* me well, that is to say they are the proper size, mostly form fitting with enough slack to be worn comfortably. I always wear a belt and my shirts tucked in as an untucked shirt usually makes me look like a slob.

Now how would someone 5'10 120 or so pounds conceal a 1911? All I can say is that maybe a 1911 or other full sized pistols can be concealed within the 40+ waist sizes and beer bellys of some people but not everyone has those proportions. I also don't intend to start wearing tacky oversized untucked Hawaiian shirts 24/7 either.

I honestly believe that the Charter Arms Bulldog with the 2.2" bbl shooting a .44 Special is the way to go on a conceal carry weapon. Its easy to hide, being small and with a hollow point bullet, it should have plenty of stopping power. Its the next gun on my list to get. I carried one for years until it was stolen. If I need something fast, thats what I would want. If I was home, I'd grab my 1911 .45, but when I'm out and about, the bulldog would be with me.

Carry what you want. If it makes ya feel safe carry it. Size shouldnt matter. I mean trying to hide a 6 inch Smith & Wesson 44 mag or a Desert Eagle might give ya some trouble but lol carry what every shoots well for ya.

I think a "mouse gun" is appropriate to carry in certain instances.I carry a Glock 23 or S&W 449 in an IWB holster daily. Both are comfortable and conceal well. However there are places that I couldn't carry without the risk of exposing my gun. Work is one example. I do maintenance on some of the machines at work and crawling under or over them, there is the chance that my shirt might ride up exposing my gun.If someone saw it I would be fired immediately. However a "mouse gun" in my pocket would be undetectable.

I think a "mouse gun" would make a horrible choice for a primary weapon, but for a back up or deep cover gun they do have their place.
