I sometimes find myself thinking - it's a scary thought I know haha!

I try to remember what things were like before certain occurrences. Before everyone had cable in their homes and before the internet could be accessed by every toilet flush and doorknob turn in America. So this leads me to this :

What do you remember before 9/11 that is now very different because of 9/11?

I remember walking through an airport and seeing more bathrooms that I saw scanners. I remember all you had to do was walk through a metal detector and scan your carry on luggage. Now this is much different.

I know a lot of new introductions are from our advancement of technology and the good ol' snooping big brother!

What do you remember before 9/11 that has changed because of that day?

Thanks!

BTW- I looked for this topic and nothing to be found!

I remember the problems in the White House were cigars and interns.....Not like now the president being completely inadequate for the job and hired solely by white people that voted for him only trying to prove how non-racist they were while proving the opposite in the end..... and the blacks voted because of skin color rather than political views.

The worst President in the history of the U.S. PERIOD.

Pipe bombs where just for stump removal and good old fun. I live out in the sticks and every 4th of July you could feel the ground shake and little mushroom clouds coming over the trees. Yea Im sure it was illegal then also but nobody ever called you in. I was always to scared of dyeing myself but I enjoyed watching others play.

I remember carrying on board an aircraft a thermos full of coffee I brewed at home.

I remember when people hung around airports. I think a show like Wings would not make sense these days.

I remember when government intrusion was seen as a bad thing by Democrats and Republicans.

I remember when telling someone to go into the military was not an exercise that guaranteed getting in harms way.

I remember when Muslims were not openly reviled.

Before 9-11, I remember telling people that NAFTA & GATT were going to destroy our economy.

I remember telling my brother in law who was (as in past tense) a self made millionare who built his own construction company from the ground up, that the houseing bubble was going to burst because people who are unemployed aren't out house shopping.
