Although this is a farming-related topic, seems like the general forum gets the most traffic, so I'm posting here for starters.

Dadant & Sons just sent out their first newsletter. It contained this alert:

Anyone interested in package bees needs to order immediately.
Many breeders are booked up due to a heavy demand from over wintered bee losses and an increase in hobby beekeepers.​

I put several plants in my garden designed to do nothing but attract bees. One at each corner. I can't remember the name, but check with your nursery. They worked towards the end of last season when I put them in.

Wow that is very late in the season.

The last time that I needed to order nucs was 2008, and I had to pre-order by November.

To still have un-purchased nucs in March is very late.
