I'm starting this thread because I'm a bit ocd 😄 and want to keep all the Augason Farms deals on Amazon up to date and in order. I'd also love to hear what products "friends don't let friends buy" and all comments, food comparisons, and/or reviews are welcome. 🙂

I purchased the bell peppers for $10/ea on Amazon and that was after I kicked myself for letting the sale expire when they were $8/ea. I tend to keep items in my cart (save for later area) and watch the prices go up and down and wait & wait. I have noticed that buying as a pre order, you can get items for a lot less but have to wait a couple extra weeks for fulfillment. Then you take the chance of getting a damaged can which is common, no damage to the box but the can will be destroyed, so you know the picker robot wasn't happy that day. My orange drink arrived crushed, so I opened to try, it's okay, funky after taste if you let it get too warm but nice and cold, it's good.

My only issue with this product (I own as well) is the shelf life. 5 years isn't the greatest considering mass produced peanut butter that contains a stabilizer would last close to 2, 2.5 years on the shelf. There are a couple other AUG items that have short shelf life as well, some 5yr, 10 yr... mainly the flours, etc. That's the problem I find with their bucket meals, some items have 25, 30 year shelf life but other contents are at 5 or 10. Even Mountain House has items with 2-3 year shelf life with annoyed me (ice cream bar) Just my two cents on this.

I wondered about that. I did buy some but have not tried it yet. I've used the PB brand powder for smoothies and in baking, but I detected a taste difference after about 2 years. Not bad, but definitely there.

I've bought several Augason item, but I also venture the unknown with Carbotrol in cherries and apple pie filling. It was cheaper and I read enough ratings to warrant trying it. Bottom line, when push comes to shove, I'm not too picky. I can always doctor up the items if needed. I usually do anyway.

Are the Carbotrol fruits dehydrated? All I could find online are juice-packed fruits.

Glad I bought these when I did, even though the price was more than the previous purchase (by like $10) But the price is crazy now!
Before I purchased my dehydrator, I got a #10 can of this stuff to see if we liked them and could find uses for potato slices. They were quite good, so we got a dehydrator to make our own from the excess of what we grow.

These are current deals at time of post.
(Generally, I'll only post items with more than 30% savings)
