True family Story from the depression now my dad was born in 32 his older brother was about 15 years older than him now the only newspaper my Grandad subscribed to was the Wall Street Journal. My Uncle told me this Story a few years before he passed. Some of my Uncle's classmates were picking up scrap steel and selling it. Japan was also a big buyer of steel and my Grandad told them boy's y'all better be careful they'll kill y'all with that some day. From about 1934-44 every boy from that little rural school was killed in WWII except 4 my uncle was one that survived the War.

It is the 1930s all over again.

China: "All we want is Hong Kong back"
West: "OK it was yours in the first place"
.......
China: "All we want is the South China Sea"
West: "All the other nations around that have a claim too.....but I suppose it does have the word China in it's name...so OK"
........
China: "All we want is Taiwan back"
West: "OK no one in Taiwan wants to be ruled by China......but I suppose it was yours before so tough luck to them then...so OK"
........
China: "Now we want to be the number one world power just like we were before the West invaded us a couple of centuries ago and made us slaves"
West: ".....yeah OK that sounds fa.......WAIT WHAT......no that's not OK.......[oops......too late now]"

Appeasement only leads to one thing.

Nations that play the long game usually get what they want.

Weak leadership attracts death and destruction like flies to raw meat.

The US has been decadent and in decline for quite a while now. A challenge for the position of number one world power is inevitable. China has emerged as the nation that will pose that challenge.

Get ready.

Not the point.
I am fully aware of the propoganda machine.
Here is how the White House is handling biden -
Biden: "I'll be happy to take questions if that's what I am supposed to do Nance, whatever you want me to do."
Nancy: "Am I on??"
Controller: "No, we don't want him to talk."

The mp3 of this is HERE
I just hit repeat and listen to it over and over again, and laugh. That's a five-hour expose' on what a hoax this presidency is in only 11 seconds. If efficiency is key, that is GOLDEN.

TWITTER WILL NO DOUBT DELETE THIS POST HASTE, SAVE THE MP3 AND MAIL THAT AROUND.
The MP3 is only 32K, so don't be confused by the small file size (I optimize things down to the last bit to save bandwidth while keeping things usable).

It's not that simple. You can employ port denial techniques, like sinking a ship or two at the harbor mouth and also using mines. Cargo ships are big, slow targets with no defenses. They are not made to withstand military attack. They can be easily sunk by subs, aircraft, missiles, artillery or underwater demolition. Like shooting fish in a barrel.
You're looking at it all wrong...

You load up the cargo ship with soldiers as the "cargo". Once in port, those troops have lots of other toys packed on the ship too. Coordinate with mainland and light it off.

Think trojan horse.

This has been done a few times in history. Germans did it in WW2.

My dad was born in 1921 and he would always say to watch the scrap and junk yards. When a war was about to happen, all of the steel would disappear.

Sitting here in Alaska - much of this is not a mere thought exercise....
Any fallout will show up here pretty quickly.

I see a joint push to hit Taiwan and the Ukraine at the same time.. All the US could - and likely would do is - Zip.
Let Russia handle Ukraine as it wants. Not sure why we are interested at all in that one. And it was Ukraine that started this last round wasn't it?

Taiwan on the other hand must be defended or the rest of that region will fall like dominoes.

Me and my brother had 2 trucks going during the later Vietnam war days, picking up scrap steel and metals. #1 steel was fetching between $3 and $4 per 100 lbs, even tin like car body parts was going for #1.50/100 lbs. We had a few stops at diesel truck repair shops, those engine blocks and cylinder liners were like gold.

The US has been wishy-washy about Taiwan since Nixon's visit. We support them, but we refuse to recognize them as a sovereign country, which they clearly are. Taiwan cannot defend itself against a mainland invasion, no matter what we give them in terms of arms.

Eventually, they will get invaded. China has always promised this. The US will do nothing and that will be the end of it.
China and Dems are cut from the same cloth...they never fail to achieve their goals. Poor reps still think of America as the old America. We are the new America. A dem run America with no rep power to do a thing but watch it dismantled. They constantly dream...if only Trump had won. Trump was in for 4 years and we are on the edge of a cliff. All Trump did was slow down the destruction.

China is continuing to do daily sweeps of the strait with aircraft. These are recon and anti-naval packages trying to keep track of every ship and submarine in the strait. Lots of Anti-Sub/Anti-Surface naval patrol planes, AWACS, Electronic Warfare (including detection), large anti-ship missile capable fighters, and smaller escort fighters. My guess is eventually one of these packages opens fire on naval targets in the strait to clear the way for Chinese amphibious forces

absolutely. they want to make it a regular occurrence so that Taiwan will be like "oh, just another Chinese pass" when in fact it's not just another...it's the start of the invasion

When the Russians invaded Afghanistan back in 79, the first Russian troops into Afghanistan were Spetsnaz troops arriving in regularly scheduled Aeroflot flights.

Same line was used in Red Dawn.

IMO we could see something similar.

Oh and for the record, the NSA people have in fact picked up info on cargo ships.

State has people saying that our real problem will come from Venezuela. Though I don't know how much of that is smoke and mirrors.

But that Ven. could host some foreign national troops as it were.

Were going all in folks.

US congress and Independence act.

Biden sells howitzers.
I will believe we are going "all in" when we officially recognize Taiwan as a sovereign country and establish an official embassy there, instead of the bogus "American Institute." Without that, all the rest is posturing and saber rattling.

I've always thought the easiest way to invade the US would be through container ships. Using containers modified to hold 10 troops and supplies, transport them anywhere in the US and on D-Day SURPRISE , combat ready infantry squads in a neighborhood near you.

How many containers do you think would be necessary to overtake a city?

Not as easy as that.

Perhaps takign the Ports of Los Angeles, portland and Seattle, but they would have to take the interior.
THAT would be the challange.
