What is the APMEX? Is this is not a normal thing to not allow trading until asian markets open.

After reading the OP, I went and checked the Kitco forum, and this is legit. One poster said that Apmex had actually changed it's prices in the middle of the weekend, which he said he'd never seen them do before ( and no contradictions from subsequent posters).
But, it seems that Tulving is reading things a bit differently, and is actually having a big sale right now, so nobody's quite sure which way things will bounce come 6:00 p.m..

Yeah the featured eBay Daily Deal today is a 10 oz NTR bar for $420 from GreatSouthernCoin. Not a great deal, but supposedly "MSR: $498.16".. the fact that it is a daily deal though makes me wonder if they are trying to liquidate a bunch of inventory today before the markets open.

Do Apmex and the big guys really pull that shinola ? I know my local guy mysteriously has no inventory when the prices drop, but I assumed the big operations kept doing buisness,regardless.

Sure, but when the big guys do it the call it "price fixing" : But seiously, I don't think this is something they would not normally do, but there would be tens of millions on the line if not more. They better know for sure.
