Hi All

I have gone, gold/silver some, not a ton but some.
Recently my outlook on gold has improved as it becomes obvious how ridiculous this political cycle is. (Not to mention the forced ceiling at 1600.)

I do believe gold/silver is going up regardless, due to currency debasement, but honestly, this election should be a no contest. The very fact that its even debatable who will win, pretty much ensure me Obama will win. I mean, who thought Obamacare was constitutional, go figure. (Roberts is a COWARD!)

Anybody else out there feel this way? (Self fulfilling prophecy?)

I am significantly increasing my stocks of silver as much as possible right now. The polls show Obama gaining and his re-election will guarantee the collapse of the dollar in my opinion. Plus there has been good evidence of support at the 26-28 level so now is a great time to stock up.

I am also stocking up on ammo for my AR and considering buying another one, as I think Obama will use the Aurora shooting as a pretense to re-institute the assault weapons ban.

It won't matter who wins. The same elitist agenda will continue to be played out and there's nothing your vote can do about it. The dollar will die, and there will be one crisis after. There will not be a glorious revolution inspired by the masses who want freedom from tyranny.

People will just moan and complain about it on forums like this. That's about all you can do short of giving the authorities a reason to shoot you dead.

If you want to make a real difference, prepare yourself to come out the other side better than the average Joe. Get educated on what is truly valuable to humanity and put your efforts into that, then you will have true wealth.

Get out of the city, get prepped, get in shape, get your teeth fixed, get armed, get some FIAT and PM's at home, then come get some! :D:

It's time to kick ass or chew bubble gum, and we're all out of gum! ;)

I'm diversifying into canned goods. You can't eat, smoke, or drink gold or silver and good luck finding someone who wants it when it becomes worthless, which it is.
Sounds like we're going to try eating gold again . . . :xeye::upsidedown::rolleyes: . . . so before those mouth breathers get all wound up, how about some opinions on what gold to buy. How about Krugerrands vs Gold Eagles.

For the most familiar acceptance I would pick mainly Eagles, Buffaloes and Maple Leafs.

You can save a bit by buying bars over bullion coins.

Recognized bars would include Pamp Suisse, Credit Suisse, Johnson-Mathey, Engelhard, Heraeus, Royal Canadian Mint and Scotia Bank sealed in assay cards.

Actually I find gold pretty tasty don't understand what's wrong with other Americans, guess they can eat plastic and paper better.:)

Interesting concept and such an unique perspective. You've obviously got it going on.

In celebration of your financial & historical prowess I present the following image. Congrats.

I'm still buying silver. I just opened a package of 9 excellent conditioned Mercury silver dimes. I paid 2.00 each with shipping included from E-bay. I love buying silver and guns. I just bought a few Saiga rifles to add to my collection. Now I can tear it apart and make it to my liking. This is the fun part for me.

Just to make it clear to you guys saying you can't eat silver, I'm very well stocked with food. I'm picking up a few cattle and pigs for my freezers at the end of the month. My fruit trees and large garden is doing great. My family rotates through our food we stock. We only stock what we eat. When you have all your food, water, land, medicine and ammo done, the next step is to protect your wealth.Buying silver, land and gold makes sense to me

This is one of the intranets greatest source of economic intelligence. Only on a survivalist board do people suggest buying PMs on a all time high. Lets roll out the fake millionaires to counter all the naysayers.

Not to derail the thread but just some advice::

I lost some food in the fridge freezer during a 5 day storm power outage. But, I had no issues with the 100 plus pounds of meat we pressure canned and store on the food shelves in the basement. :thumb:

Bad SHTF with no power for months or longer, canning is a life saving skill and the chicken, beef, turkey and ham tastes just the same. Any game I kill I can also preserve this way.

I firmly believe that some gold and silver should be a part of everyone's preps along with "Beans, bullets and Bandaids".

That said, the arguments that consistenly brew up over this subject are, in my opinion, due to people being people. Opinions abound and everyone feels they're right and "you're wrong". Wow, I sure wish I had their crystal ball!

In any event, it is IMPOSSIBLE to predict when/if there will be a SHTF scenario that shuts down the world of commerce as we know it. And it's IMPOSSIBLE to determine exactly just what shape or form the SHTF will be. (Financial Collapse, Superbugs, Climate Change, War, Famine, EMP,Solar Flares Extraterrestrial (not little green men; meteors or comets) and so on.

Me? I feel that we will muddle through in some shape or form, but not without pain. I feel that we are and will yet suffer further financial pain and that what has traditionally and historically been a store of value; Gold and Silver, will continue that historical tradition. IF you don't have some, get some. IF you think the prices are "at an all time high", think again. When world governments and they're central banks are net buyers of Gold, all while saying out the other sides of their mouth " Trust us, have faith in us". All the while they continue running up debt to unprecedented highs.....and printing funny money, backed by "full faith and credit"... to pay for more spending sprees.

This carnival ride will come to a screeching halt....and if you are holding tickets instead of true coin of the realm, you will be watching from the sidelines. Don't suffer fools, protect yourself. PM's have ALWAYS been worth something....

There are many stocks currently at or near an all time high. Do you recommend against putting money in them because of that reason?
