I'm new too and from Central FL

Just looking for other central FL members - I live on the east side of Orange County, close to Bithlo and Oveido. Not been around long enough to know of any events but wouldn't mind chatting 2 or 3 times a month. Where are you located?

 

I'm also interested. any one close to Polk?

Their has been an annual- sometimes twice a year meet and greet/campout in Ocala every spring since 2002. We have also held BBQ/shoot/meet and greets at the public range in Ocala.

Every one in the last 3-4 years have been posted on this forum. A grand total of ONE person from this forum ever attended. Yet the events attendance runs from 20 to as many as 45 people.

There are free classes on actual skills, good food and fellowship, barter sessions where hard to find items change hands, lots of time to socialize and get to know others around the campfire, etc. It's a family friendly event.

Next one will be Jan-Feb of next year. Maybe some of these folks from this forum claiming to want to meet people will get out and actually meet some that are actually doing stuff....

Well I'm fairly new to the community and I'm interested in getting together in whatever capacity. I'm in Orlando near Universal.

Do you usally find info on this site when the date is determined for the Jan/Feb camp or is there another site with the info?

Info is usually posted here, Frugals, SurvivalandPreparedness.com and sometimes Arfcom.

Usually posted about 2-3 months out.

 

Polk County here.
