Search is your friend. We have discussed this many times. In the compairisons I have seen here. They are the same you get from the doctor.

I just got a couple bottles a few days ago. My thinking was that if it's needed and doctors are not readily available, it's sure better than nothing. I didn't open the bottles because that will lower their storage life (2 years).

No, my kit is stocked with fishmox, fishlex and all the rest. They work great. I have had no issues. Did you search for any of the other threads?

I already searched 2 other long threads. No one had actually tried them though many have bought them.
Guess I'll be a pioneer and do it myself, i.e. try some fish antibodies.

Yes, and thanks.
Wrote and published its sequel a few months ago, called the Counterfeiting of Amerika.

What a great deal then, the fish meds. I'm on day one now of doxy...to kill rosacea.

I will have to get a copy. Looking forward to reading that one. Good luck with the rosacea.

Remember, if your lips start to pucker you may want to stop the doxy...LOL

Have a great weekend.

Well, finished my 10 days of Doxy. It has seemed to have taken care of the beginning rocesea. Seems to have worked. :thumb: (actually did amoxy at the same time to try handle another problem, but no effect. Guess it wasn't a bacterial issue)

I immediately replenished with some good probiotics.

About 25 years ago I had a neighbor that got real sick. She couldn't afford to go to a doctor and knew she needed anti-biotics. She told me that she went to a feed store and bought Horse anti-biotics. She told me that the anti-biotics were big pills that she broke into 1/4. She laughed and said that when she took them she felt like she was rolling the dice but, they worked and she got better.

My wife and I volunteer for a dog rescue organization. The lady that runs the thing is a vet-tech. When she gets sick she always takes dog anti-biotics. They have worked in the past but, this year she got real sick and the dog anti-biotics didn't touch it. She ended up going to a doctor, twice, to finally shake it off.

Am I to understand that people are saying that fish anti-biotics are a good emergency solution?

"good emergency solution"

Compared to none? I would say so!

I dont think anyone would RATHER take fish meds over human meds, but fact is most doctors (not all, but most) simply will not hand out antibiotic scripts to just anyone. It's kinda hard (and painful) to stockpile antibiotics when you go in for a sinus infection, only to be given the option of taking the pills and thus not storing anything, or not taking them, and suffering through the pain (which could possibly get serious). There is a gray area of not taking all the antibiotics but thats just a bad idea all the way around.

Yes, I personally have used fish amoxicillin twice for sinus infections in the last fifteen months. I took the dosage prescribed by my doctor: 250 mg, 4 times a day. This is actually a fairly low dose; some infections require double that dosage.

I proved to myself that these medicines are safe and effective. Now I have no fear of them at all, and I'm saving to order more.

The shelf life for antibiotic pills is pretty good. Except Keflex (cephalexin). When it's one year past expiration date throw it away.

Tetracycline can become toxic when it expires. Throw it away when it exceeds the expiration date.

From what I have read. Most can be stored for one year past the expiration date. Amoxicillan seems to be a good wide spectrum choice. There is a doctor on another forum that posted some great info about antibiotics. When you decide that you need to have some for emergencies make sure to make a label for that specific antibiotic that tells proper dosages etc.. That is very important so as not to create antibiotic resistant strains, etc.. Keep in mind that sometimes you need to not use an antibiotic and just let your body heal it's self. And, during normal times go to a doctor if you get sick. That way you can be more certain of the diagnosis and proper treatment. Lastly, you doctor may be willing to help you acquire an emergency supply of antibiotics.
