I traded a Marlin 30/30 for this beauty this week, its a Savage Model 110 in 30.06 with a cheaper scope on it but the thing has a lighted red and green reticle and is DEAD ON so I really dont want to take it off lol.

Oh and does anyone have an article on how to use a Mil Dot scope?

1 mil is 3.6 inches at 100 yards 2 mills is 6.0 feet at 1000 yards so if a 6 foot object is in between the 3 little lines on your scope the range is aprox 1000 yards ,so 1 [email protected] 100 yards is 3.6 inch ,2 @100 =7.2, [email protected]=10.8, [email protected] =14.4, [email protected]=18.0, [email protected]=21.6 .and so on and so on 1 [email protected] =18 inches ,2mills @500yards =36 inches, 4mills @500 yards =6 ft tall or a 6 foot tall object if it is 4 mills highi you know that it is aprox 500 yards away.
