I wonder if this is where Anonymous disappears. As some have mentioned, Monsanto (based upon what I've read) is dang near as powerful as the US government and had tenticals through out the world. If the case, I fear only bad things for those at Anonymous.
not gonna happen. There are literally so many Anonymous that to start rounding them up would require more LE assets than anyone has. In the past, countries capture one or two- call them 'the leader' (lol) and hope the rest don't continue. Which of course fails.

Its like bailing out a sinking boat with a sieve.

Wow, they have taken on the mother of all corporations, the big M has both political parties in their back pocket. If anyone hasn't seen it, there is a move that goes into great detail about them, it's called Food Inc. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Food,_Inc

I asked a farmer if they played hardball like in the movie and he assured me that the big M is the closest thing in the world to a legal Gestapo.

I don't think he was, but he knew some other farmers who were. I don't know all the specifics.
So, you don't know any specifics, just that they are like the gestapo.
I know hundreds of farmers (I'm a farmer) and I have never heard one describe Monsanto like that.
I can't imagine what kind of 'hardball' your friend is referring to.

I'd like to hear the specifics.

People still talk about anonymous like its an organization.

I really dont think thats true. Anonymous is more like an idea. Anyone who takes up the mantle of anonymous is ..anonymous. It could be me, you, anyone.

So good luck catching "anonymous"

And I wouldn't be surprised if every anonymous "interview" or "official posting" is just yet another completely unrelated person, contributing to the persona and giving face to the idea.

There may be people who collaborate, and work together under the same guise but I highly doubt there is any binding organizational structure.

Anonymous then, if as I picture it is an example (good or bad depending on your views) of the power of people united in a common goal. You can't really cripple anonymous because it is everyone.

I have had family members describe them the same way up in Montana and seen what they did to people who were just keeping to themselfs.I farm also and I know Ive had bad experiences and threats but I just shut down those feilds becasue it was easier to shut them up. But with my dealings I dont find it a far streach for my family to be telling me the truth as to the way they were treated. They are Thugs true and true. You always tout thats not true but lawsuits might hush people up in public but people still find out what happens.
Why do you defend them so much? I remember you have always defended them and in the begginning evertime monsanto is brought up you were always there defending them. Way to much effort for someone just responding. As far as Im concerned monsanto is one of the biggest problems we have in the world and people will soon be seeing that. But I guess all that power and money would currupt.

Your family members describe what?

There were twelve lawsuits man.

2,000,000 farmers ... 12 had trouble. All twelve cases happened over ten years ago.

* * * * * * * * * * * *

You shut down those fields? What do you mean by that?

Isn't the movie about the industrial food processors, fast-food resteraunts, and the retail grocery chain?
Monsanto does not process/market food.

Why isn't anyone slamming Tyson?

Isn't hacking illegal?

Isn't stealing company info illegal?

"Earlier this week, Anonymous posted online 90,000 military email addresses and passwords obtained from military consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton..."
Isn't that illegal?

I understand the hatred towards Monsanto (although unclear exactly why), but isn't Anonymous conducting criminal acts?

In short I believe mansonto are for controlling all foods along with gov. You cant grow, kill or eat unless you purchase from them. Thats one part of them that I have got from a gardening aspect. Look up monsanto on you tube , you might be surprised.

The movie wasn't solely about the big M, but they had a leading role, Tyson was a co-star. The producers were left leaning politically, but did show that both parties are in bed with the food giants.

Of course you can. What makes you think you can't?

If the anti-Monsanto effort (most enthusiasts don't even know what they are protesting) was aimed at a company or companies that manufacture/retail GMO food items (Publix, Whole Foods, Kellogg, KRAFT, Coke, etc.) there would be an impact.

Why should any of these companies cease using GMOs? No one is complaining.

If there was no market for GMO grain, farmers wouldn't grow GMO grain, and seed companies would cease offering GMO seed.

You get what you ask for.
