I've read about this awhile ago and emailed by state reps about their position on it. I've only received one response so far and the rep told me he would not be voting for it.

Boy they didn't waste any time. I read the synopsis for the SC law and here is the kicker:
"Section 23-31-620. (A) All handgun and assault weapon ammunition manufactured or sold in this State after January 1, 2010, must be coded by its manufacturer.
(B) No later than January 1, 2012, all noncoded ammunition owned by private citizens and retail outlets must be disposed."
MUST BE DISPOSED! don't they mean given up????
So far, thank jesus, Ga hasn't introduced a bill. But thanks to all the crime in N Ga (Atlanta area) I'm sure it won't be long.
