I have a WASR10 that I added a tapco retaining plate to and I love it. That dang wire was such a pain in the backside to get set right, and my retaining plate pops right into place. A common problem with the WASR is without the retaining plate the trigger retion pin will slip out and your trigger will malfunction, and believe me it is a pain. The retaining plate takes all of two minutes to install, and I found mine for around 10 bucks shipped. The AK performs flawless.:thumb:

If you are doing the Saiga conversion I am told the plate is the way to go.
Just easier to deal with.
I have the wires in place still but that was because I wanted the BHO to remain and was not sure the plate would accommodate that.
