Debate is still ongoing as whether the 5 mile wide dormant volcano Nabro or its neighbour has erupted in light of the recent large quakes in the region.

Nabro has no records of any eruptions ever, so it would be a first. (See link)

It appears that we are going through a similar phase. Today, the Sun has dropped to about zero spots. http://www.solarham.com/ With what appears to be increasing volcanic activity. My spider senses are tingling. And supposedly Katla has magma building up in it's chamber. Many of the Solar scientists were wrong in predicting Solar cycle 24. It started about two years later and is no where as active as they thought it would be. There may be a cause and effect we aren't aware of yet.

Today's global economy is so tightly intertwined. One year without a Summer would be a calamity. Maybe TPTB know whats ahead and are raping the system because they know and don't care.

Maybe cold weather gear should be added to the preps.

5 miles across is quite a caldera. and if it is part of a larger group- presumably running off the same magma chamber, this suggests a super volcano.

I've been waiting for something to happen there. The great rift valley is slowly pulling Africa apart. Sooner or later there will be two landmasses framing a large gulf, like the Tethys sea once was.
