Anyone know of one being made? Would a .40 or .41 bullet mold work, or maybe another caliber? Not looking to do anything silly if that's a bad idea, but .410 shells aren't cheap.
Lee makes round ball molds in .380, 390 and 395(which might be a little tight for the full choke of a 410). They will custom make if you got the bucks.
I personally wish some one would make a "hourglass" shaped mould , like the Lymon 20 and 12 ga. moulds.
Check your choke first, If it is full .40 or .41 may be too big. I have used the .36 cap and ball projectiles with the remington plastic shot cup and had great results. Both ball and conicle ball (bullet).
3/4 and 1 ounce is a bit big for .410. (normally used in 20 ga. and 12 ga. respectively)
Was wondering if it was something someone has even tried. The powder charge should be sufficient to move the projectile however pressure could be too high to be safe.
My Pop loads the brass .410 shells with sabots to shoot out of his Drilling and other rifles. Those .410 brass are really fun to tinker with.
