In 2016 Bernie won the primaries, but the DNC gave the nomination to Hillary.
This time I expect Bernie will be cheated again, and will ultimately decide to run as the Socialist Party Nominee.
This will split the Democratic vote.

I agree. But I wonder what their plan is for Buttigieg? Knocking out Sanders and Warren will kick a bunch of votes to Mayor Pete. He can string complete sentences together better than Biden, even if he still really says nothing in them. He also checks off at least one of their intersectional boxes.
Bloomberg and that other guy are just wasting their money.
The Dems backing Biden is very puzzling to me. They must surely realize he is a train wreck and cannot govern. I'm thinking the key will be his running mate. I don't know who they plan on him running with, but I figure they see an aneurism in his immediate post election future. Thus making his VP the new President.
In reality, I think all their calculations and machinations are off. I don't think any of their candidates stand a chance against Trump.

The Dems need Biden to cover their ass. Trump is trying to expose them for what they truly are. You don't get any swampier than Biden.

Maybe they just dont think bootygig was that much of a threat? Or they have something else to use against him. Warren and Bernie were the only two big competitors of Biden's.
