This is something I did up today. My goal was to figure out the best way to get 2000 calories a day in basic food staples. This is meant as a means of survival not as a gourmet diet plan. However, if you were to add other things to it such as canned fruits and veggies, you are on your way. I managed to get it around 580 dollars for one person, for one year. With some wiggle room. Technically, at that price point you are getting 2600 calories a day, one year. But I did not include the calorie count for both the pancake mix and oats, however I did include them into the cost for the entire year. Hope this gets someone doing some math.
