Unfortunately I only have a mobile phone so I cant use the search function, sorry. Moving on. My father is turning 70 on June 1st and I want to help upgrade his food storage abilities. I wanted to get him some mylar bags and oxygen absorbers. I have found a few sites online, but I was hoping to...
I recently purchased 20 1-gallon Mylar bags from an online retailer. They came folded over in shipping envelope. About 3 of the bags were creased so badly they tore, and two others were ripped because they were just shoved into an envelope. Now I am concerned the rest may be compromised too.
I'm going with dehydrated food. I live on a farm and will do most of this myself. Where is the best place to get o2 packs, mylar, buckets and so-on? I will be using these for food and supply storage and hope to get the max longevity I can.
I placed a preorder with USA Emergency Supply for about $98 worth of mylar bags and Oxygen Absorbers (this is my first order ever of this type), they got back to me and said shipping would be $47.80. My question is, how heavy are mylar bags? I was shocked when I saw the shipping cost or is...
Hello to all.
I was wondering if anyone knows what type of local store would carry mylar bags instead of having to buy them online. None at walmart or home depot
P.S. this is my 3rd post (my second never materialized) - asking the same question.
Please and thank you
I am having a real hard time deciding where to get Mylar bags and what thickness to get.
Is 2 1/2 mils to thin or is 8 mils to thick, and most places charge almost as much for shipping as the bags cost , the choice on oxygen absorbs is a little easier.
Should I seal them with my vacuum...
Do any stores carry mylar bags and desiccant? I want to start storing rice and things in five gallon buckets with these bags. So far I have only seen them for sale online. Do stores like walmart carry them? I'm also looking for those tiny bags of desiccant to absorb moisture.
I found someone who sells them for 1.48 each in the five gallon size but I have to order 100 to get that price.
Is there a better deal out there? If not, does anybody want to go in with me for 100 of these?
Can anyone tell me the best (cheapest) place to order mylar bags from? I have searched all over the web and see so many diff prices for supposedly the same thing?? Why is this? Are some better quality than others? Thanks
Would like to know your favorite sources for purchasing mylar bags and oxygen absorbers.
I'm noting that many of the emergency food sources do not carry these items. Many who do, carry only one size. I'm looking for variety of sizes and decent prices.
Thanks in advance.
