I recently wrote this article on the contents of my Altoids survival tin. I'd like to get feedback on my kit and ideas from others who have made a similar mini-survival kit. Any must-have items that I'm missing...
Hey guys! This thread is dedicated to those of us who carry survival tins, pocket survival kits, personal survival kits, or any small kit that would be carried in your pocket. Giving new guys ideas on how to start their own PSK's, and giving the older members new ideas. So what's in your PSK?
Survival lighter project.
About two years ago I made this lighter, and today I decided it was time to open it back up to see how the contents fared under daily use conditions and simple curiosity, and with the idea of learning from it and making a new improved Mark ll GENT utility lighter :)...
I am building a couple of little Altoid* tin survival kits to throw in my pack and in the GHB. Right now the list is as follows:
Cutting tools: razor blade and commando wire saw
Fire starting: mini BIC, papaer match book and a couple of cotton balls
Water: 10 iodine purification tablets
I got the idea from my SAS guide, but my tin is a lot different.
