    Is it possible to buy strong wooden matches, strike anywhere, as produced at one time? All the wooden box matches sold today are useless. IMO. Flint and steel fire making. The alternative.

    Ok, so every time I go to the grocery store, I pick up a box of strike anywhere matches (they're about $1.60 so i figure why not?). But, low and behold - they are not literally strike anywhere...where can i strike them that will light them, not on the box? Thanks!
