What are the advantages to getting bulk wheat versus getting bulk flour to store?
I plan on the Mylar Bag / O2 absorbers and 5 Gallon Bucket method.
I don't have a grinder/mill....yet....
If I get the grain, I have to grind everytime I want flour...
I can buy flour in #10 tins that will keep for 20 yrs.
So why cant I put flour in mylar with oxygen absorbers and expect it to stay good for at least a few years?
what is the difference, if it will keep in a tin, it should keep in mylar, right?
I dont want to buy buckets of wheat, I dont have...
I was wondering about sealing flour in mylar bags inside of 5 gallon buckets. Anyone ever done this? Is it a good idea or should I just stick to wheat and a grinder? any help on this topic would be appreciated. Also sugar, anyone storing this? thanks in advance.

Just got back from my Wally World prep run. My question is : What is the best way to store all-purpose bleached flour, while in the original packaging? Can it be refrigerated or will it be ruined that way? What options do I have?
Thanx in advance,:)
