saiga conversions

I live in the good old stae of NY...... Only pre-1994 magazines are allowed. I hear AK's like country of origin mags for reliability. What does 7.62x39 Saiag conversions typical like as far as surplus mags go. I have the all steel and black ones with corrugated sides and a slide in steel...
