price of ammo

I'm just curious as to what others are paying for .22 rounds. I just picked up 2 boxes of Remington 550 hollow points and paid $18.97 each. This was at Wal-Mart. I swear the last time I bought them they were around $11 or so.

Well I went to Wally World today folks and they have raised Winchester white box 9mm 100 ct boxes to 23.97.......from 20.97 just a couple days ago. Supply and demand right! It is still a good price compared to other places in the area. Gander mountain's ammo prices are insane...as well as all...

Anyone heard anything or noticed the price going up? I heard that a large co. (The Carlyle Group?) is quitely buying ammo making companies.
