So I was looking through my pockets today and I realized that I have a lot of random stuff that people may think I'm a bit loopy for carrying around. Obviously I carry all thsese things for a reason, and each item has come in handy at least once. So here is a list of my EDC items: One small...

BOB has been covered in depth as far as basic tool set goes...knife, gun, saws...etc. I am looking to put together a specialized tool set for the more delicate situations (starting cars, diy projects, salvage). I want few enough tools to be lightweight, but the right combination... So far...

Hi there - I'll have so much to pack into one average-sized bug out backpack that I figure a multitool will be needed since it will save space. I need one for my own kit (which I'm willing to spend more on) and one for a less expensive backpack bug out to be sold in a silent auction through my...

Just received my Sidekick in the mail yesterday. Initial impression is this is an excellent tool for the value $31.09 shipped from Amazon.com. The tool itself, The pliers, springloaded with no wiggle room seems to be of excellent design and quality. The wire cutters are both pointed and...

Sorry all you leatherman/Swiss army/gerber multitool survivalists cause im sure I will get heat from this, but WTF? How is it there are so many of you I see posting on the " Only One Knife To Survive " threads that you actually think you can live with only a multitool? I own a few of them, and...

What are you guys considering the toughest MT? It would be a designated car/BOB multitool. The most important feature for me would be pliers/wire cutters. I narrowed it down to SOG Powerlock, Leatheman Super Tool 300 and Victorinox Swisstool. Is there any clear winner in that group?

I own five kunai, which are ancient Japanese tools with numerous uses. If you don't know what they are, wiki has a good article here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kunai . I know the whole "ninjafail" thing is constantly debated on here, and I want to avoid that. I just wanted some honest...

I have 2 teenage sons to equip and I hate buying junk. Apparently since I bought my Leatherman original made in USA, leatherman has moved to China! I don't want to give my kids chinese crap. I was wondering about the SOG models? Pricey - but I want these to last a long time. What about...
