Been using this system for a couple years now, upgrading old/broken things as I go.
Any thoughts or ways to simplify it or carry less would be great. :)
I live in subtropics. Gets down to 5C at night up to 30C during the day this time of year.
It's a little heavier than I want (37lbs without...
Well I’ve been looking high and low for BOB’s for the wife and me and it’s tough. Just about every pack I think I want is a FORTUNE! Obviously I want nice packs, but I don’t think I need to spend $500/ pack to get some. I also don’t want some junk packs that will not live being overstuffed. I...
Im looking at buying a vulture ii but idk what color would be better black or olive drab? im thinking the black one when out in the sun for long periods would attract more heat from the sun? i would appreciate some opinions thanks

Looking for a good quality 2 - 3 day pack? The Maxpedition Vulture-II might be just what your looking for. When your looking at backpacks, there seems to be small, medium, large and super large.
Small - good for day hikes and short trips
Medium - good for day hikes or overnight trips

Have been camping plenty but mostly out of the back of a truck, where we park and hike in about 6 hours, then hike out after two or three nights. So I'm used to a heavier load. Also, had to leave a significant amount of stuff back in another country. I have some of the stuff on this list...
The other day I received a question asking which one would make a good 2 day pack - MOLLE II Rifleman pack, ALICE pack , MOLLE II pack, or something from Maxpedition . In my opinion, there is no clear cut answer. The large ALICE packs are big, but their too "fat" - meaning they extend off...

Hello all...Im new to the forums. Thx for having me. I am putting togther an EDC/BOB and recently bought the Voodoo Tactical Level 3 Assault Pack. I am not to sure about the quality. I am thinking of returning it and going with the Maxpedition Falcon 2 which seems to be of much better quality...
hey all, I am looking at upgrading my BOB / Camping pack, my deuter has been good but it is too small and lacks decent organizers.
I use small to medium size packs because I dont like overpacking, So I have narrowed it down as best I can using the forums and net searches to these candidates...
I recently recieved a Maxpedition Condor II as a gift from my dad. I was so impressed with the quality I am considering purchasing the larger Vulture II from Maxpedition to be used as my BOB. I was wondering if any of you own this pack and if so what you think of it and how it would serve as a BOB.
Alright, just spent the past 72 hours rucking it around and living out of it, and I have a few comments.
1. Very comfortable on long(50km+) walks. Your back will get sweaty but that is the price you pay for a pack that sits very snug against your hips and center of gravity(these are good...
While on the look out for a new 2 - 3 day pack, I came across the Maxpedition Vulture II. Like everything else made by Maxpedition, the quality and workmanship is outstanding.
I'll probably attach a couple of pouches to extend the pack and make it more flexible.
The Vulture II has a capacity...

I transfered what gear I have from my old rucksack to the new one which is fine but now i realize packing this baby with everything i need for a 72 hour scenario is gonna take some serious planning and organizing to fit everything in.
