I bought a Katadyn Vario off of Amazon on March 30th, 2011 for $73.84. Today that same unit is $89.90. The Hiker Pro has gone up just about the same amount over the last few days. For those that don't have one, I think it would be wise to pick one or two up while there are still some available.

KATADYN Vario Microfilter Will this make sea water/ salt water okay to drink? If I pull water out of a creek and use this do I need to do anything else to the water? Is some other type of purification a better option for creek water? Thanks
