glock vs springfield

I'd like to get another pistol, .45 caliber, and would like to get some feedback on the Glock and the Springfield XD and what people feel/think about the two. The Springfield is about $50 cheaper than the Glock and I want to find out if anyone knows if the price is anything more than just name...
