I Store a five year supply of normal canned foods off the grocery store shelves for my family of four now that my oldest two are on their own, such as beans, corn and just about any other vegetable you can think of plus meals like beef stew, chicken and dumplings, red beans and rice and the list...
Most of these I know about but a couple were new to me.

So I want to make a newbie friendly list of food staples.
A list of the very basic necessities that people can use to start stocking food for long term.
Flour
Wheat
Salt
Rice
Dried Beans
Yeast
What else?
This has probably been sticky-ed or posted somewhere before but I couldn't find it
