I'm putting in a woodburning stove, but I don't want to pay the high retail price charged by various dealers in my area. Is there any online source that from which can purchase a woodburning fireplace insert directly? I haven't been able to anything yet.

Another thread got me thinking about this. Is it possible to convert a gas fireplace to a wood fireplace using a fireplace insert? I have two gas fireplaces I have never used. I could obviously outfit them with gas fireplace inserts. But wood would be better if its possible without replacing...
