    Is wood ash ok to put around fig trees? Ash changes the PH balance of the soil. It also helps with pod production, such as peas. But can it be used for fig tree fertilizer?

    I see fig trees will grow in places such as Missouri, Kentucky and Virginia. Anyone have experience with them? Our grocery has a few potted ones out front, and I see several vartieties, but don't know which are best for what. Do they really -thrive- that far north? Etc.

    Hello, I am looking to plant a fig tree in my yard but I cannot seem to find anyone that carryings seedlings for them. Can anyone form N. Texas direct me to a nursery that has fig trees? Also, I am considering a peach or a pear tree. How long after planting until it begins to produce fruit?
