    how do you ventilate your blast/fall out shelter? vertical pipes to the surface seem the most common, but i have been reading they can be sheered off by high winds. alot mention a aluminium pipes up to the roof ( or to the otuside), but the pressure from some of the waves will crush the pipes...

    any advice or recomend any books on how to build a fall out shelter for nuclear and chemical, will be using a basement, 3 walls are concrete underground, above is the house and the fourth wall ( for now) is just drywall... what extra do i need? do i need to store my food in the fall out...

    if i'm worried about chemical attack, should have a safe room on upper floor ( chemicals will settle) if more concerned about nuclear, should have on in the basement. I don't think its economical to have two full fall out/safe rooms. opinion?

    now that nuclear war looms over north and south korea.... when i build a shelter in my basement... whats the best way to prevent nuclear fall out ( i also live near a nuclear plant) i know the dirt overhead,etc.. helps... lead is to heavy/expensive. do i just make the room 'smaller' by lining...
