I have been making changes all the time with my compact survival kit. its a belt type kit, so i wear it on my belt. It is a Condor EMT pouch, Olive Drab, and has quit a bit of space in it. The problem is, I have things i need, bit i think there are still more things that i might need, and cannot...
I made this video, to test my day pack. I did it in a hurry, and I left a lot out.
Most of my real gear is in my bug out bag, but this is the pack I keep in my truck.
After the fact, you always realize what you couldn't do with out, but sadly you don't have.
Here is what I learned.
Depending on how much of a hike or day in the woods this is what I always carry.
Milbank bag (filters dirty colored water)
Miniworks repair kit
Sweetwater Chlorine drops (not in photo)
Us Army Canteen and canteen cup
Open Country Foldable pot
As my second post here, I would like everyone to critique my daypack that I also plan on using as a BOB, if need be. It stays in my vehicle at all times (except hot months, where I try to keep it in cooler places).
Kelty Redwing (sage green)
Patagonia Rain Shadow rain pants
