Can anyone comment on the Berkey brand of water filters? I am considering the Big Berkey, but it is expensive. What do you suggest for alternatives? Thanks, Randle

Should I prime my system now or wait for a disaster, to prime it? Will it hurt test the filter now? Is there a shelf life on a primed filter? Any help would be really appreciated.:)

I have a Big Berkley & no matter what I do it leaks around the spigot. I reported it to the company & what they suggested didn't stop the leak. It appears the spigot is a flat surface & not making good contact with the round chamber. Anyone else have the problem + maybe a solution?....thanks
