Had a quick and light arm workout back on the 21st...

Today this:
Note, left shoulder is an issue again, couldn't do all I planned.

2 hand DB c/p
(25) x5 singles
(30) x1
(35) x1
(40) x1 (this was pushing what the left should could do without sharp pain, right side felt like a warmup)

1 Hand c/p
(45) x1
(50) x1-1 (right only)
(40) x1-1 (for left)

1 hand KB swing
(24kg) 5x5 each side

Side db raise
(15) x15-15-10-10 (again, light for the bad shoulder issue, hoping a little "pumping" might help?

Anyways, its not much, but better than another missed day.
I'm really struggling with my workouts...I just don't have the desire as I once did, its crazy, I never thought I'd lose interest in lifting. Add in two injuries, knee and shoulder...its tough! Not sure how much disinterest is because of the injuries vs what, maybe dropping T levels?

Well the goal is simple right now, 2 good workouts a week, then once that "habit" is back work on getting back to 3. Do more rehab work again for the shoulder...and keep hoping the knee improves on its own, as I never really found anything to help exercise wise.

I've thought a LOT about Low T levels and such, but my doc doesn't want to do anything. I'm not worried enough to look other places, as, from my research, taking testosterone seems to have some links to prostate cancer. I've watched my FIL with that for some years now an dI won't no part of it.

Just keep at it, the desire will come back to you.

Never looked into the low T, testing or treatments...just figure it must be happening, and I'd love to fix it. I wasn't aware of potential issues with the treatment...

I had wanted, want, to fix that issue personally as well, but have not due to possible issues. I know my doc's hesitancy to give me anything is just one doctor, and I can easily go find another to give me what I want, but it does give me pause.

I'm not sure if it's any issue for you, but I have noticed that I feel better, and notice other indicators, when my weight is slightly lower. Normally, I'm pretty much right at 240lbs, when I go over I'm more lethargic, when I drop 5 pounds, I'm much more energetic and better mood, not to mention, more active .

It doesn't get any better...

Totally wasted the entire weekend...fell sick Thursday evening, Friday was horrible, Sat and into Sunday I've been pulling out of it but still not 100%. Grabbed the pullup bar a few times to stretch my very sore back, and its down right scary where any of the strength went. Whatever bug this was it really hit my joints and back hard.

Hopefully tomorrow will be some sort of workout, even if its very light and short.

Dang, there's a lot of really bad bugs going around this season, unfortunately it sounds like you got one of them. On the upside, people seem to come out of it really quickly..

My wife has been feeding me some sort of elderberry extract to help with sickness, Belnik. Elderberry immune guard for me, some sort of gummy immune for her. You might want to look into it, this is my least sickest winter in some years.

Funny, my wife gives me the same thing, it appears to work. When I take it regularly I have avoided most bugs going around.

I'll be looking into that stuff...still have a cough but mostly feel good (a full week later)

Pullups
x1-1-1-1-1....sort of warming up, felt surprising good.
x1-2-3-4-5 (probably would have maxed at 8-10 reps if I tried)
x3-3-3-3-3

Power clean
(135) x1-2-2-2-2
(155) x1-1-1
(165) x1
(175) x1-1

Dips
x1-25-25-25-25 (pretty shocked here, 4x25 felt like nothing, shoulder was perfect in the movement, yet is painful and weak in other moves. A pretty good day if I overlook the curl weight cleans.)

(35) 2x5

Lg Bulgy Bag Spins (mostly just to get the feeling again)
2x5 each direction

(24kg) KB Snatch
x5

Pretty fast, less of a workout than it was just getting the feeling and habit back.
