Republicans have always been pro-NAFTA. Hell, a Republican wrote it.

34 of 50 states have Canada as their #1 trading partner. A trade war hurts everyone on both sides of the border.

**** NAFTA. Hopefully Trump goes ahead and redoes it. We are being milked like a cow.

Trump supporters during the election: "Trump is going to scrap NAFTA and rewrite it to put America first! MAGA!"

Same people 100 days into the term (If Trump flips): "Well, you know, so, Trump is a pragmatist blah blah and scrapping NAFTA isn't necessary if we just blah blah and we are really benefitting from NAFTA blah blah..."

You really don't want a trade war with Canada, we can turn off your lights. that's not a joke, we can flip a couple of switches in Quebec, Ontario and BC and half the US goes dark. Under a minute.

We're on your side, don't make enemies of allies.

Sorry/not sorry.

Can't turn off my lights anyway.... unless you can turn off the sun!

Bull****. That's not really how it works. At all.

Besides, even if you could turn our's out, we could turns your's out. And I'll guarantee this: You need those lights a hell of a lot more than we do.

At least you can get used to his M.O. right now and save yourself a lot of disappointment over the next 4 years. I think a lot of us figured it out when he praised the woman he wanted to "lock up".......until he won the election that is. Most people would have found his backtracking hard to ignore after he failed to repeal Obamacare "On day 1" and impossible to deny after backing off of "build that wall". If you thought that Trump was being honest when he told you that he'd "probably never play golf" or that he is going to label china a "currency manipulator" you didn't know him very well, Im sorry to say. The sad part is seeing, as you stated, the republicans twisting themselves into pretzels to justify his contradictions. How else can the man who called Obama a "dictator" for making executive orders and reversed his position on NATO be taken seriously? If I were you I wouldn't hold my breath that he will honor his promise to enact CCW reciprocity or to remove supressors from the NFA either.

Can't turn off my lights in Texas. Hell, not even Washington can. We have our own grid.

meh the lights out thing is hard to believe...but they can cripple the energy market overnight that is trying to rebound simply by marking up Canadian Heavy needed to process the ****ty shale here.

Canada can hurt us as easily as we can hurt them.

I want NAFTA renegotiated for "fair trade" ASAP...if that means it stays the same then scrap it and walk away.

Trump was probably never serious about NAFTA, it was a campaign pledge like "Lock her up!" or ripping up the deal with Iran on day one or repealing Obamacare that got him cheers and support. So he made them with no intention of ever fulfilling them. The public was warned this was his life long habit, to promise anything and only deliver what he wanted to. Now he's President, you're not, live with the consequences.

I know your just here to push your liberal agenda, so I'm sorry fir walking all over it:

Just wanted to point out the big difference between "hope" and "expect"

Also: Trump >>>>>>>>>>>> Hillery.

As I've said many times... if we JUST get the SC justices out of it (and whichever way you cut it, lies, obstructionist in congress, etc) we are getting more than that.

You cannot punish companies from moving south without first fixing the reasons they moved there. Change nothing except taxing imports and all you will accomplish is higher priced goods.

**** Canada. If they take the amount of immigrants Trudeau says they're taking we'll need a wall in the northern border too.

So you are perfectly happy to maintain the status quo, the policies of the past few administrations that have put us where we are now and keep pushing us along a road nobody likes? As long as you have Justices who are conservative even if in name only on the Court, the rest can go hang?

Well, if you prefer a rancid crumb to a banquet...

And Trump supporters, when reality intrudes on their happy little lotus dream, always immediately start screaming "He's better than Hillary!" This isn't Trump vs. Hillary, this is Trump vs. Trump and what he promised. There were a dozen better GOP candidates, any one of whom could have trounced Hillary much better than Trump did AND would have made real change in Washington. But you chose Trump.

Grow a pair. Own your candidate and his failures.

Trump made NAFTA an important point in his campaign. Now he thinks it is okay.
He thought we needed to solve the problem in NKor, now he thinks its okay.
He thought China was manipulating our currency, now he wants to be pals.
He thought we should do something in Syria.
His health care plan costs more than the ACA. Obamacare has never been more popular.
The wall will probably never get built.
The tax cut plan is a redistribution for rich people.

Trump thought a lot of things as a citizen, now the reality of how difficult and complicated they are has stopped him in his tracks.

I would disagree with you that "a dozen better GOP candidates" if you are comparing them to Trump, but comparing them to Hillary, yes.

The republicans have lost me as a backer, the flip-flopping Trump is blamed for starts with them. The demorats are worse, hypocritical pieces of dung. All politicians should be hung with the entrails of lawyers and judges who can't follow the constitution. I'm done voting until change comes, and the biggest problem is a government to big to govern. The republicans want to enrich big business, banking and insurance, the demorats want to enrich themselves, as per 0bama rumored to receive $400,000 for a Wall Street speech.

The only thing we get from Trump is SCOTUS judges, and that better happen before 2018 elections. And down the road, judges may not mean much if the present path is navigated.
