Get one of those compact Gideons KJV New Testament & Psalms like the US Army used to hand out in basic training. They're everywhere and they're usually free.

I have a little New testament now, I am looking for something nicer . Besides I am blessed enough to know my Savior and he has blessed me with enough to leave the free bibles, God's word, for those that need them more than I

I have Tecarta KJV app on my phone and both KJV and Amplified versions on my kindle fire . Real book doesn't run out of battery and I just prefer a real book
I have used a Thompson Chain reference for years being that my eyes ain't what they used to be I bought a BIG Crossway ESV study bible At half price books a while back
I figure I don't spend money on a lot of things I can spurge on a nice bible and some good tea

I'd get a waterproof Bible. Not pocket sized, but nice and incredibly rugged.

I am very hard on my personal Bibles, if I don't end up giving them away. My current one is duct taped. So's my prayer notebook.

Too bad I can't get that in waterproof Bible material.

How about one of those big family Bibles? You can use it as a self defense weapon (talk about the Sword of The Lord and being a Bible thumper ).

Whatever Bible you get, be sure it's a KJV (Keeping Jesus' Version I like to call it) it's the only English translation that is correct. Compare Proverbs 18:24 from the KJV and read the NIV (Non Inspired Version) verse and you'll see what I'm talking about. That's just one verse, there's a bunch more. But a NIV Bible is a whole lot better than a certain questionable magazine that a lot if men are addicted to.

I like word for word translations K.J.V., E.S.V., Amplified are word for word translations .
N.I.V. is a thought for thought translation which I do not care for .
I will not read paraphrased editions .

The right Bible is the one that speaks to you.

Says the Bible Distributor.

Lifeway. If you have a Lifeway nearby I'd really suggest you try them. They often have sales on very nice Bibles for $1-$5.

I've had recipients pick one Bible over another due to cover design. [shrug] God does the work.

Just read it daily!

If you have a phone with a web browser just go to BibleGateway.com
and start reading

I like to read the bible when i go deer hunting. I usually just go to biblegateway to read the bible while hunting...

I don't have to worry about the pages getting wet if it rains, and I have access to other web based tools, If i want more information about a bible verse etc.

I have decided on the Crossway E.S.V. I turned the imformation over to my lovely wife so she can get it as a Christmas gift
I picked up a little N.T. to carry to work etc until Christmas
I have apps and do use them for finding stuff quick, but prefer an old school book to set down and read.
I don't take free bible Because there are those that need them more than I . Either those that don't know Christ or those not blessed as much as I am
There is on my table were I relax a E.S.V. study bible . a Thompson Chain reference K.J.V. . a N.I.V. for cross reference, plus my K.J.V. thin-line that I carry when I need more than my New Testament I E.D.C. plus an amplified and King James on my kindle .
