I know, another AR10 thread. I recently built a couple AR15s and am loving it. Im missing a modern large centerfire caliber in my gun safe. I have a mosin, older lever 30-30, but interested in 308.
Ive been told to stay away from PSA, even though my ARs are strictly PSA parts.
Im not looking for maximum precision, but a more budgety friendly rifle (without a required budget).
What parts should I be looking at? Aero Precision worth a shot?
I'm sure whomever told you that spent a whole lot more money on a rifle than if they had bought one from PSA. I have had no problems with any gun from PSA.
Sounds like you want to build an AR .308
Unless you are buying an AR10 from ArmaLite
I would get the FN barrel upper from PSA
A lower from whatever
A FailZero BCG
I like POF triggers, but whatever trigger
A charging-handle from whatever
Lancer magazines
I will be doing similar over Christmas vacation only in 6.5 Creedmoor. Aero Precision receiver kit, BA barrel. Likely going to do an A2 stock rather than carbine-style. A3-style upper for mounting an optic. Should make a good mid-range prone rifle.
