Replace the cap with the NBC cap.

The ad shows canteen and all, you're just purchasing the cap and the tab on it that slips down over the neck of the canteen to hold them together.

SOME 2qt canteens are purchased from after market suppliers. Their QControl is not as good and they leak. Trust me - I know.

I tried the O rings - most time they worked but not always.

The NBC caps - always.

If you want to go 100% replacement - canteen and all -

So you have the canteens and covers? what would you sell a few for if you still have plenty?

It's semi squishi, which is good for quieting movement, drink from 1qt canteen, refill to top from 2qt, squeeze the air out of 2qt, now neither makes sloshing noise while walking
