so I'm looking for a tactical vest or load bearing equipment. the problem I'm having is that I'm kind of a big guy and im not sure a lot of the stuff that's available would fit me. does anyone know of anything out there for bigger guys. I'm 6'0 and 295lbs. (yes I know I need to lose some weight. I'm working on it) Any suggestions? I am looking for something capable of carrying 8-10 pmags, 3-5 pistol mags, a small survival kit, and something that could be comfortably worn with my main pack. also would be nice if it wasn't too expensive. again I'm just looking for suggestions. anyone else here have this problem of being too big for the "one size fits most" category?

I am pretty sure that many of the items Security Pro offers are restricted to government agencies. But some of their body armor list civilians as users:

They definitely do serve the military and police, and so will likely have something that will fit you.

I am 250 pounds and the ZMP Tactical (formally FMCO) 8-magazine vest fits me, but I am short at 5'8":

I think you might find what you want at the two places.

Just my opinion.

I'm a fan of chest rigs. If you can find a Blackhawk commando chest rig, I think it will fit your bill nicely. They can be expanded to be very large to fit over body armor and heavy clothing, so you should be good. Blackhawk gear is well made and will last a long time. Everything I have from them and have seen in use by others has been put to the test and is good to go.
