One surprise to me is that we will now be allowed to own the Mossberg Shockwave.

Kasich has revealed himself as a RINO and a big disappointment to me personally.

To be honest, he signed a lot of good stuff. Things that I thought he would veto.

He probably would have given his approval if they had put in his Red Flag provision.

On its face Red Flag seems like a good idea but I am afraid of how it will be (and all ready has been in other states) abused. It became his "Build the Wall" moment and he thought he could bully it into the bill.

As to the other bill (on the topic that we will not mention) I think he hasn't changed his position, he just didn't think it would stand a court test and would cost Ohio a ton of money trying to defend it.

It will be interesting to see what happens with DeWine. I can't really say that I know Mike DeWine but I did spend a very short time on a protection detail for him and his wife when he was Senator. Mostly got to chat with his wife, she seemed a nice lady. (She sent my wife a copy of her 'cookbook'.)

It's funny, my family has had tangential contact with a lot of Ohio governors going all the way back to Thomas Corwin (one of my ancestors.)

My aunt dated "Dusty" Rhodes in high school and my brother-in-law was a close friend of Voinovich, who did the eulogy at the funeral of my brother-in law.

Kasich wasn't perfect but considering some of his predecessors, really not all that bad. Remember Gilligan? Strickland?

Here's hoping that Mike will get it right.
