Post Fish Antibiotics... For Fish (when SHTF)!

Health Canada confirmed they cannot be imported from the United States. I was hoping to import the Thomas Labs variety from the states since they appear to be of quality compared to some of the other questionable options.

Where can I get some emergency antibiotics in Canada in case SHTF and my ornamental fish get sick?

(Also, hi! Long time reader, first time poster.)

Thanks in advance.

I'm im the states so I'm not sure about Canada but I buy mine at my local salt water aquarium store.

Maybe you should try that route.

Good luck and welcome!

No luck yet with this approach... :/ They seem to stock all of the other things one would need. I'll keep making calls. Thanks!

Not close enough! It's about 5 hours to Great Falls and/or Kalispell. Driving back over the border would be the issue.

I was just in Mexico too where you can get this kind of thing almost anywhere! Talked myself out of flying back with any.

No domestic options unfortunately. Anything I ordered would be from the US and have to cross the Canadian border (where it would be seized).

I've tried two different antibiotics from two sites on line. One for me and later the other one for my wife. Neither one gave good results compared to same drug when filled at a drug store from a doctors script. Disappointed.

They've pretty much banned the purchases of all animal medications without a vet license in Canada. Makes having a hobby farm very difficult and or potentially extremely expensive.
