Now you're in my neck of the woods. If hitting Scapponia park, I recommend you keep a side arm. Things can get wild. Few campgrounds in Vernonia that are safer. Try Camp Wilkerson also.

Look into the area near the Ramona Falls trailhead. It's about 50 miles out. Gorgeous. Not sure about fishing.
