If you are in NE Ohio (maybe even Central Ohio) you might know about a store called Marc's. It mostly a grocery store but when you first come in you usually have to walk through the 'special buys' Section.

I usually wander around there while my wife does the real shopping.

Yesterday I found this.

The bag seemed to be decent quality and it opens out and has compartment so it all the stuff that came with it (for $4.99) could be junk and I would still have a bag worth at least $5.

To my surprise, the majority of things seem to be very decent quality.

The flashlight especially was nice. It would appear to be designed to take a couple of photo batteries but I dropped a single AA in and it worked great. If I can figure out the right photo batteries it might even be good to mount on a .22 or .22 WMR.

The FAK portion was a bit underwhelming (but a lot of alcohol prep pads which are almost impossible to find right now.) But there is room to and more stuff to flesh it out.

They seem to be on clearance on the Holtzman's website. Not sure I would pay $36 for it but certainly worth $5 IMHO.

If you happen to be in Marc's today, give it look. All stores don't get the same things so who knows if you will find them. Mine were tucked away on an end cap and most people would walk on by or pick one up and then put it back.

(Hint, the Parma stores no longer seem to have them. )

The detachable back (Velcro) seems substantial but I am pretty sure I would rely on the D ring attachment. I could find another use for the back strap.
I may take one of the bags and convert it to a camera bag.

Opened up it is a nice set up for a small FAK after I add sutures and other goodies (Quik Clot, wound seal, etc.)

Neat.

Time to hit up the Kamms corner one, the one on like W.136 Lorain and the Lakewood one.

Those junk/ close out aisles are my weakness. All sorts of weird **** at low prices.

Smith Rd is the least busy normally. When I want to find something that the other stores have already sold out, you might find them there.

Best thing I ever found was just before Y2K. They had refurbished US .50Cal ammo cans for .99 each. I bought all that I had money for, went to the bank to get more cash and they well all gone when I got back the next day.
