Well, it appears there are quite a few fishermen here, so why not show off our catches.
I'm looking for diversity here, not the biggest (but post them if you have them! :D) I want to see pics off all the different fish around the world.
Also how you caught it, net, rod, spear, trap, hands , or what ever.

So here we go:
Kahawai (Pacific Sea Salmon) caught on 15lb mono and a Shimano Baitcaster using a pilchard for bait, awesome fighting fish:

Grey Mullet, caught in a set net 20metres long with a mesh size of 75mm:

Kingfish, caught on a Penn drum reel with 40lb braid using whole squid as bait, another awesome fighting fish:

Snapper, caught on Kilwell Baitrunner with 15lb mono using Bonito Tuna for bait:

Does that Kahawai spawn in rivers or is it a strictly ocean species?

Those are some big mullets!

That kingfish looks alot like our amberjacks.

Same looking snapper here.

I'll dig up some pics later.

Strictly ocean fish, and highly underrated here, a lot of people consider them a rat fish.

Good one mate, I've changed the pic of the Kahawai for a different one that I caught recently.

Sure no problem, I'll need to get one of my volunteer cameramen to take that kind of picture, doing it one handed will prove quite difficult.

Eh, I don't have any pictures of it, but the biggest fish I've caught was a 22 lbs catfish, behind a dam down the road from my house, Oddly enough was cought on 6lbs Mono line, I pulled, and it only struggled Half-ass. My dad had to grab the pole and real it in. I was 6.

Actually, in this thread we should have a competition for the smallest fish caught on rod and line.

I'm winning so far with that tiny brown trout.:D

Well, I didn't take any pics of the one I caught recently, was only about 2inches long and I managed to foul hook it with a bait the same size, so I left it on and caught a much bigger fish. :D

meangene, that garibaldi is stunning!

The two tone coloured sheephead is amazing as well.

They have rockfish like that in Japan, they catch them on small lures and ultra light tackle (like trout rods).

Te Hopo what's does that kahawai taste like? Is it like tuna?
