Felt like going after a shore lunch today, so I loaded up and went up the river. Found a nice current break around an island and gave it a try, fish bit like crazy for an hour and a half. In total I caught 2 Walleye, 2 crappie, and 4 really small white bass. Kept these crappie and one of the walleye and found a nice spot in the shade and cooked up my fish and a couple ears of corn i brought. What a great morning

It’s always a plus when they’re biting and even better to find a nice quiet place to just sit and cook a shorelunch and watch the wildlife

Man, I do like Crappie! Like a great big Bream, and those look like nice ones! Little corn meal, some peanut oil, some salt.............oh my goodness, oh my goodness.

A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work. A good day fishing is something precious that we all look forward to. Glad you had a wonderful day.
