Default I need a good weapon

My landlord is against me having any guns or bows. He has a M4 with a military background so he say's that if something happens, he will use this to protect me. But he's not always here. So I'm looking for something that I can use to protect myself. I was thinking of a paintball gun but I'm not sure, and I've got a slingshot. Either way, do you have any suggestions? It has to be of decent size, either non lethal or semi lethal, and it has to be a projectile weapon that can be used in small space like a house. All suggestions will be taken and researched.

Your landlord is trying to tell you what you can and can't have? Me, I'd be looking for new quarters....

Hypocrite...

Make a deal with him - You'll take a safety course (or learn from him) if he allows you to have one on his property.

Or you can just give him the whole speech about infringing your constitutional rights as a law abiding American citizen to keep and bear arms to defend yourself......

...or you can buy one and keep it in your trunk. On his property, but in yours. Still wont help you for home invasion, etc.

Tell him he gets what he wants. Emphecise the less-than-lethal requirements, and inform that 1,000,000 (one million) volts is a lot, and to be sure it's not deadly, you need to hit him with it

.... Seriously though, family? And he doesn't understand your want for a firearm?

I don't think there's anything we can do to help you on that one brother.

Best of luck.

You are better off with a baseball bat or a short spear.

My brother and I moved into his house. He's a landlord for three other people and I moved into a room and I pay rent.

OSPEC. Not going to give out anything else. The point of this thread isn't about my landlord not allowing guns or bows. It's about a good weapon to defend myself with that is within the things I listed.

Get a 22LR

A lot of "experts" here will testify that it's just a "toy" and not a real weapon.

Problem solved.

Definitely not a paintball gun, unless you want your opponent to laugh himself to death.

Practically speaking if you can't change your circumstances, I would say that pepper spray is about your best option.

I have trouble understanding a dad who apparently isn't anti gun who would deny his offspring the right. How does he expect you to protect yourself when you are not at home?

I understand. Here are some thoughts:

If you pay rent and its legal in your state to own a firearm or any other weapon then MOST states allow you to tell him to shove it. This can get ugly tho.
If your under 21 no handguns.
If your under 18, in most states you have NO rights at all under his roof, rent or not, because he's family.
If you have a lease that supports his position, NO case.
If he is so paranoid as not to trust his owm (of age) brother with a weapon(without good reason), GET OUT rapidly.

Without more (basic) details of your situation its the best i can do. GOOD LUCK.

Does he tell the other tenants what they can & can't have to protect themselves? You pay rent, you have rights.

Strange situation. Your best bet is bear spray and a baseball bat. Good luck upgrading to a real arsenal in the future.

Please tell us why he won't let you have a gun.

I'd go for a sword in your case, not only will you be able to defend yourself but be take pictures with this with your loved one.

Not recomending a paint ball gun by any means, but I think it is safe to assume you have never been hit with a paint ball. I can assure you it is not a laughing matter.
